Michigan Family Shooting Suspect Had Rocky Ties, Police Say

A 25-year-old man is in custody after fatally shooting four family members at a suburban Detroit home before peacefully surrendering to police. Authorities say the tragic incident underscores a disturbing trend of domestic violence that has recently touched communities right here in Iowa.
Swift Police Response Ends Threat
Officers rushed to a residence in Livonia, roughly 20 miles west of Detroit, around 5:35 p.m. on June 9 following reports of multiple shots fired. Livonia Police Chief Tom Goralski said that when officers arrived, the suspect walked out of the house with his hands up and fingers interlocked.
